Theory: Roots in the mist
well the more i read up on hydro the more ideas i come up with.
right now im thinking of mixing some of my shroom growing knowledge and applying it to hydroponics/aeroponics.
my idea:
ultrasonic humidifiers create a cool fog, actual fog
now when using of of these for mushrooms it is wise to reduce the fog by running it through a series of 2 liter bottles to cause some of the moisture to precipitate before reaching the fruiting chamber. what im getting at here is that it is a dense fog, one that would be the perfect mixture of oxygenated air and moisture . the only problem is, will the nutes still be carried in the teeny tiny water particles and reach the roots. im thinking organic compounds might be too large to be carried in the fog but what about synthetics?
any thoughts comments or suggestions?wman44 Reviewed by wman44 on . Yes, that's the concept behind aeroponics. Some systems sold as 'aero' are kinda coarse sprayers, but the finer the fog, the more effective it's going to be. You'll want to poke around and see what nutes people like to use in their aero setups.
Since you are OBVIOUSLY talking about legal culinary mushrooms I'll leave your first post up.. you ARE, correct? Mmm shiitakes...
