    Pollinating, oh my!

    Hey kids.
So believe it or not, Ive never pollinated (on purpose anyway) a plant. And since Ive started over from seed for waht seems like the billionth time, Ive got all these males just hanging around..

My basic question is how long does pollen last? Ive read some reports of 4-5 days (majority), but some people say it can last for months.

Im wondering b/c i much prefer clones, but I want a backup as I am very, very low on seeds. I plan on revegging and cloning the good females I have now, then pollinating the clones (or revegged plant, whatever) so i have billions of seeds and wont have to worry for 10 years. Obviously thats going to take a month or so, unless I decide to keep the males around for no good reason other than to look macho. Which id rather not do as the state laws see a difference between 4 and 5 plants. (who knew?)

Anyway, if anyone has any experience with storing pollen, please let me know! Sorry for the book.

I've read that if it is kept in the dark(empty film canister) and put in the freezer it can last over a year, but to be safe it is more around 6 months.
