Obama fans, Clinton fans,

will be at each others necks for the next 6 months.
McCain is all about running a clean campaign....by the time the general election comes that will be refreshing to the voters. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"; the GOP had two new friends with Obama and Clinton.

And when the GOP was facing multiple potentials, the criticisms were just as harsh!
Remember Giuliani attacking Romney on his immigration policy and supposed illegal houseworkers?
YouTube - The CNN/YouTube Republican Debate, Romney Vs Giuliani
Giuliani demanding retractions from Paul on his opinions about foreign policy and the cause of 9/11.
YouTube - Terrorism: Ron Paul vs. Giuliani @ SC Debate
Mitt Romney fighting John McCain on the practice of waterboarding and Guantanamo.
YouTube - DEBATE: MITT ROMNEY & JOHN McCAIN GET INTO IT! WATERBOARDING
Mike Huckabee calling Mitt Romney "dishonest" and a social and economic failure.
YouTube - Mike Huckabee Attack AD on Mitt Romney
The fighting and criticism is just as harsh and prominant with the GOP. But now that McCain has had all his top contendors drop out after unbeatable, sweeping victories, it's oh so easy to call themselves the "united party".You can bet much the same would happen if Hillary or Obama swept so far past the other.

I'll bet either one would LOVE to be in McCains shoes watching the battle rather than to be involved. BUT, we can't all have what we wish for....kind of like having a Dem for Prez in "08".

Clinton won by using GOP tactics. I don't believe she will last much longer. The DNC wants to ensure that the race that was 'the Democrats to lose' doesn't wind up lost for them.
All the polls I've been seeing indicate that the majority of the country is anxious for a change in direction. McCain represents more of the same. It's almost as if someone removed Bush's brain and transplanted it into McCain. The thing that assures me it didn't happen is that Bush has no brain.
In any event, this is not the McCain from 2000. He's acting like a political slut, jumping into bed with anyone from the far right who will endorse him. It's a sad thing to watch, because I used to have a lot of respect for him.
One other interesting note ... if we are in a recession, and everyone but the GOP seems to think we are, the current party has never held onto the White House during one.

Seeking political advantage by putting someone you don't want to win one vote closer to the nomination is not putting your country's best interests first.
And McCain could use a little support these days --- only half as many Republicans turn out to vote in the primaries as Democrats, and the money is barely trickling in. If his supporters go off voting for Clinton or Obama, they just build up the Democrat's fundraising momentum and leave McCain looking all the more pathetic.
It'll serve you right if Clinton eventually gets the nomination and then wins. And if that happens, I don't want to hear any bitching about it --- YOU voted for her.
I know Republicans have got to be tired after all these years of having to defend the worst president ever. It can't have been easy standing behind this trained monkey-boy you've cursed us with for these eight years. And if this kind of strategy is the best you can do at this point, that's understandable. You're worn out. The strain and embarrassment have gotten to you. You guys deserve a break. Why not just throw in the towel and take the next eight years off? Come back after you've rested and have more to offer than this underhanded monkey-wrenching.
