If they were planted in the first part of Jan then you should be ready for flowering. If you have alternating nodes on your branching, (which it looks like you do) you could switch them to 12/12 at any time. That is how the flowering cycle is activated, when you roll back the clocks.

Unfortunately its pretty difficult for experiecend growers to identify and determine with 100% accuracy different sexes before flowering. Id say put that baby in flowering and in a week you'll know what can be tossed!

As for trimming.. some growers swear by it, others dont. I don't like to stress my plant any more than necessary, but I do trim off clones from the lower branches.

I believe I'm looking around the correct area for determining sex but not sure.. I'm not saying you will be able to determine sex on these its prb too early but these images are the same as some of the last just bigger (enlarged to show detail)
