The vocals are spectacular and the complexity of the composition is impressive in the way that Tool albums are. Good metal that shows musical virtuosity is a beautiful thing!
Btw how did Eminem get listed in this thread? Am I missing something? :wtf:
killswitch engage really arent very good. if you like them but not most other metal i'd say it is a case of you liking the guy and being blind to the music. youll figure it out now or later, either way it will be refreshing when you do. i saw them in concert at ozzfest....wow. thats all i can say. except that i dont mean wow in a positive way.

and I'd say it is a case of an extremely impolite way to state your point of view... :wtf:
I don't like "the guy," but I've enjoyed their music. Especially being Massachusetts natives.
How about, at least for now, we pretend to respect others preferences? haha

and if observations like this are evidence of being blind...

The Arctopus, Between The Buried and Me, Black Sabbath, Blunderbuss, Boris, Botch, Building Better Bombs, Chang Ffos, Clouds, Colisuem, Converge, Cult of Luna, Dethklok, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Dimmu Borgir, Down, Dozer, Earth, Electric Wizard, Fantomas, Floor, Genghis Tron, Gojira, Grey Daturas, Harlots, High On Fire, Integrity, Isis, Jesu, Johnny Truant, Knives Out, Korn (strictly older stuff), Kyuss, Lair Of The Minotaur, Lvmen, Mastodon, Meshuggah, Metallica, Nadja, Necrophagist, Neurosis, The Number 12 Looks Like You, Old Man Gloom, Opeth, Otep, Ozzy, Pantera, Pelican, Primordial, Psyopus, The Red Chord, Rob Zombie, Robotosaurus, Rosetta, Scissorfight, Seven Nautical Miles, Slipknot, Static X, Suffocate For Fuck Sake, Sunn O))), Switchpin, System Of A Down, This Is Hell, Tombs, Tool, Torche, Verse, War From A Harlots Mouth, Wolves In the Throne Room

yeah a few of them are technically hardcore punk bands, but the line between metal and hardcore blurs many times

Well I thought I might be gettin' old but now I'm sure of it,(I wanna thank you guys,lol)...Most of these bands i've never heard of...

I saw Black Sabbath at MSG with Van Halen as a warm up band in 1978... Van Halen had 1 record and not to many people knew who they were...One of the best concerts i've ever seen...

A few posts back a guy was talking about how it was incredible watching his band start a set while a guy lit a joint...In the 70's,it was incredible if you weren't getting high at a concert!!!:420thought:
