I used to listen to Sepultura, up until the Chaos A.D. album. Are they still making music?

Yes... there are several albums after Chaos A.D. Max Cavalera (one of the guitarrists) left them in 96 and formed a band called Soulfly, but Sepultura is still active until today.

I'll have to check them out again, I really enjoyed their older stuff. It's been quite a while since I've physically bought a CD... with the popularity of downloadable music, it almost seems like CDs are turning into yesteryears vinyl LPs.

Sepultura is a Brazilian band if I remember correctly. Do you have the opportunity to see them live much?

for those of you who havent heard him, check out bulb. all his music is free at SoundClick artist: Bulb - Metal, or what i call metal rather. I write music so i can listen to it. There are not many bands , guy named misha mansoor, he plays the drums as well as the guitar in all songs.

there are a lot of choose from, i would recommend thefocushour, as it were, soulcrush, ultimatum, letterexperiment, resonance, absolomb, and manifestation.

he kicks so much ass. i love blazing and listening to his music, blows my mind.

may sound weird, but i feel like his songs take me through a journey.. cant explain it

Unfortunately not... most of my life i lived in a small town that was far from any large towns, so their shows were always too far from home for me to go there...

Very fitting name for such a deeply somber group! Bummer you haven't gotten to see them live, I'll bet they put on one hell of a show. All good things in time, though. They've been around for a while, and apparently aren't letting up any time soon. You'll get your chance. :jointsmile:

im not really into metal, but im the type of person that likes music after being exposed to enough of it to get a feel for what i like best from it and find more of a similar style. But right now, this chick that i work and smoke with is getting me into metal, at the moment i only really like rammstein, and i dont consider them metal but nine inch nails, but ive listened to them for years, and there is only one other song called come to daddy by aphex twin which is normally an experimental electronic european music man, but he got a jingle in his head one day and it ended up creating a pretty crazy song.

Yeah i like a lot of the bands mentioned.
I'm glad someone mentioned Psycroptic...I love that band!!
Loads and loads of relly good metal bands out there at the moment.
