Well... i dont know how this thread sprouted a evolutionism/creationism discussion... anyway... some time ago i had an idea of how to link creationism and evolution in a way that agreed both with the Bible and with the usual evolution theory...

It's called 'faith'. Either ya got it, or ya don't. No one has the authority to judge a person who doesn't believe, in the same respects that no one has the right to insult others that do believe. Opinions are like assholes... we've all got one.

When people tell me they have faith in God, I just tell that person that I have faith that they are a murderer (or a pedo, or an adulterer)... If I can't question or attack someone's faith based beliefs, what right does anyone have to do the same against my faith based beliefs? I personally think the whole "so you are saying we evolved from monkeys?" is a HUGE misconception about the theory of evolution.

Yes, but there are quite a lot of sun Gods. The Egyptians had Ra and Isis and a few others, the Greek Helios later replaced by Apollo, as well as sun Gods in other religions that I am less familiar with.

just read the old testament it's all in there for sum reason people don't see it and no the bible does'nt say the earth is only 6000 years old.

Zeitgeist youre absolutely right... you are new here but already noticed it... ive seen it happen LOTS of times... if you take the time to look at the older threads, you may be SURE that ANY thread with more than 20-30 posts turned into this kind of debate... and that all closed threads started like this and turned into flame wars, pissfests and so... and i foresee that many threads that still will come to be posted will have the same destiny...

I've been away from the board for quite a while, my apologies for not remembering my every conversation. The only reason that these threads get hijacked anyways is that there's no PM function. And if I recall, the post that I quoted (yours) had nothing to do with "Is shit going down?" You were replying to someone who said that they don't listen to the prophets because they seem to be right as often as chance lets them. To sum it, up, his answer was basically "No, shit isn't going down, with regards to prophets."

IF the whole national security identification system pans out, it'll most likely be an elaborate system of ID cards or devices like cellphones, PDAs, GPS, etc., that can be tracked via satellite. Something along those lines. The whole chip implant ordeal seems like something right out of a sci-fi flick, and really doesn't seem like it'll become more than a passing fad for a fanatical handful. (But, I must say that I think it's a great solution for household pets.)
