Well Im a Christian and have read alot of revelations and it seems that so much stuff that it was talking about is happening right now. For example the whole world is supposed to start making unions(Euro Union already has one and then Canada,US and Mexico are going to become the NA Union) and the in the US there have been small computer devices that have already been created and will be used to keep our all info and will be inplanted in our skin(Which is supposed to be the mark of Satan I Rating: 5

See, the thing is, people think that all this stuff means the end of the world, which is when Jesus is supposed to come back. But in reality, when all this happens, instead of the world ending and Jesus coming to rectify the situation, everyone will essentially be enslaved or at least able to be monitored 24/7, and the government will have succeeded as using religion as the ultimate control device that it has set out to be from the start. People REALLY need to come to grips with the reality that religion is not a true thing. When 86% of people in the US believe in an invisible sky man and an old book that's been proven wrong rather than believing in facts of the world around us, then I think we are in trouble.

In reality, I don't think there's any way in hell that people will agree to putting RFID chips into themselves and their children, so I don't think theres anything to worry about. But that definitely does not mean we can sit back and relax because things are REALLY fucked up right now with our government and people need to speak out now more than ever. We are closer to world government, world banking, and RFID chips than the average person would believe. There are even people that HAVE the RFID chip already. Too bad everyone's caught up in the rat race of attaining as much shit as possible to realize what they're government is doing while they use the people to fill their pockets.

In short, the "average person" needs to pay more attention to what's going on. :stoned:

Im not a religious person but I do believe in Jesus in God and use my faith to guide me through all of this. In essence I think for myself not through some priest or anyone else
We are just having a discussion and using "what ifs about the future"
I do beleive the revelation is coming although I dont know when. I just cant find it coincidental for all these writings that occured thousands of years ago to just start happening all at the same time

Honestly? How many times have they been proven wrong? Theories and speculation aside, the atheist crowd has nothing (in terms of tangible evidence) on the theists... and vice versa. You can get into a debate with any jackass who can use Google then cut & paste, but these arguments will nearly always end in a stalemate. Rarely does anyone ever switch sides, especially when the arguments are over the internet... and not in-person. Have one of these debates with a real person, face-to-face and unscripted, with only the information you know, and you'll be surprised how receptive people can be to your thoughts. Do it on the internet, and anyone can conjure up a witty retort worthy only of another well-researched witty retort.

Well... even if that linking about Nostradamus and obama did make me a bit uneasy, let me tell you something.
I did read a book which shows how the Nostradamus centuries must be read. The author (Piobb) shows that there is a kind of "code" to read them... the verses must not be read one after another, but following a definite sequence, like Century I verse 10, then Century IV verse 84, then Century V verse 30, etc... only reading them this way one can rightly understand and interpret Nostradamus predictions.
In the book he says that it was one device used by Nostradamus to ensure that only the "right" people (the ones with the needed knowledge) would read it and understand it. To the rest, it would be only a set of (frequently) confusing verses. So, most "usual" interpretations of Nostradamus work are just plain BS. Of course, there is several events that, after they happened, were linked to some lost verse. But after something happens, its easy to link what happened with some verse. The hard thing is to accurately link the verses to things that still didnt happened.
So, unless the Nostradamus work be interpreted following the right sequence of the verses, accordingly with Piobbs description, it is useless.
If it is the case of this obama prediction, i dont know. I hope it be.

Well... i strongly believe that very soon this chip will be a substitute for the ID, credit cards, and even money (in cash). So, to someone keep being part of the society, they will have to put this chip. Or, as the Bible says:

"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Revelations 13:17

That will be one of the reasons for the government to make people put this chip. You know better than i how the usa government wants to have complete control over peoples lifes... and when they have the opportunity to have it, why not?

I think that everyone who has the ability to be human, and actually see whats happening around us, and what we're making out of it, will be able to honestly tell you that they have no doubt the end is near. Like dejayou said, the chip shouldn't be a problem. I dont know who the fuck would actually agree to something like this. Its so fucked up. Shit IS going DOWN. you said it. Theres no turning back at this point.

Seeing as the world is probably going to end soon, 2012 would be an ideal time. Ive seen a couple documentaries and read a little about this time period. And its got me half convinced. The fact that I can now see how fucked up the world is, has got the other half of me convinced.

While I don't put much faith in predictions of The End, or any specific dates on which it is meant to happen, the scientist in me sees a serious end-game we are playing with the world we inhabit.

Between overpopulation leading to disease and putting millions of people in cities that are impossible to evacuate in the event of a sudden catastrophic weather or geological event, a disturbing and dangerous snowballing of our reliance on genetically-engineered food crops cultivated on large scale using fossil fuels, declines in pollinator populations worldwide, ability of air travel to quickly spread outbreaks of disease worldwide, increased severity of weather events, and growing gaps between the comfortably wealthy and the desperately poor, it would take less now than at times in past history to cause the human population of this planet to complete our self-destruct cycle.

The basic job of any species is to ensure its own continued survival. We are failing miserably. At least we have our MTV...

I am a bit worried about 2012. I am not one to usually believe all the religious people on the corner with the cardboard signs shouting "the end is here!"

But I watch way too much of the History Channel, and they mention 2012 at leasr once a day.

The Myan calendar is more accurate than our atomic clocks and almost all of the Myan's predicitions have come true. They predicted WWII, global warming, etc.

The Chinese "I Ching" is this sacred phrophesy book containing hexagrams, and also points to Dec 21, 2012 as the end.

Also, around 2012 the magnetic poles are set to reverse. During this time there will be crazy storms and tsunamis and earthquakes, etc.

Also, there is a family of asteroids that remain in an orbit safe from us.. usually. Recently, ever so slight atmospheric temperature increases are causing these orbits to slowly shift towards us. If an asteroid of this family were to srike the earth, it would be very similar to the first mass extinction, the extinction before the dinosaurs, caused by an asteroid landing in what is now part of the ocean near the Yukatan Penninsula.

Also, the History Channel mentioned the occurence rate of supernovas (the violent explosive death of a star) in our galaxy. There were a few famous astronomers, Kepler and some other people, that were actually lucky enough to witness one. Anyway, we are long overdue for a violent star death, that could definitely affect us here.

I am inviting myself to join you, Coelho.... hide somewhere in a mountain cave, grow lots of veggies, potatoes, and cannabis! I love your theory on heaven/hell being DMT altered perception. So we will smoke lots of cannabis and be happy and think we are going to heaven in 2012!

Anyways....That theory totally has me. A recent trip I made led me to believe that also. I know what a bad trip is like, and I can only pray that I dont live in an eternity of it when I die.
I ask for a place to stay as well. But if the end does come, I will need to go to the shore. Thats where my end is. My dreams have told me my whole life. I will greet the tsunami with open arms and accept the cleansing.
