What kind of bug is this?

I was flushing my plants today and I found this one little bug just hanging out on a leaf. I scooped him up with a napkin and grabbed some shots.

Was wondering if someone can tell me what kind of bug this is and if it's harmful to my plants?

    Thanks!

Can't find it anywhere in my catalog of garden insects. try doing a google of local insects in your area. Hope that helps you.

Is it shiny, like a ladybug? Could be a Brown Ladybug.

I thought it might be a lady bug but I only really know of black and red ones. Didn't know they were brown ones.

This one had some white on it and wasn't really shiny, but not dull. I guess just normal amount of sheen. I've tried googling but can't really find anything.

He didn't look harmful. Maybe he was guarding my stash. lol
