    Calling All Rockhounders!

Getting into a new hobby, rockhounding. Have always been facinated with gems and rocks, now I am wanting to collect them myself. Been doing some research and I am observing that alot of these 'rockhounders' look like old hippies (like me):hippy:, and was curious as to how true this may be.

If you collect rocks, minerals, fossils please post a reply.

I have located a few places on the east side of Texas to go rockhounding and am looking for more.

There are plenty of stores that sell the items I desire, but I would rather harvest from Mother herself.

branching out from around sam houston national park.

really want to go to Mt. Ida, AR, have bought mine run crystals from a Crystal Creek, am really pleased with my purchase.

just went through the process of cleaning them and have some really nice points and clusters.
