Stop wasting peoples time with your bullshit.. part of me really wants to go on and on ranting and raving about how unbelievably naive you are if you believe this junk propaganda.and the other half realizes my words will fall on predominatley deaf(stoned) ears, so I will only give you a half Rant!.... The PATRIOT act.... guess what I'm not a terrorist so I'm not worried about being detained without a lawyer or having my phone tapped without a warrant because the fact of the matter is that if you are not out to "terrorize" America, most likely you wont be bothered....and can you provide proof that over half of the warrants served were not terror related???? i honestly doubt it..............and I'm not sure where you live but in Colorado we heard all about the Pakistani constitution being suspended, and yes we (America) have given tremendous amounts of $$$$(aid) to Pakistan over the years, and in my opinion we need all the help we can get in fighting a global war on terror, so we should do all that we can to aid Pakistan in the future... :stoned:

first of all I don't think there will ever be a day where there are no more terrorists, there will always be those who "terrorize" people. It is just a fact of life. Call me crazy but, I see no connection between Terrorism and Cannabis.com and I honestly believe that the government feels the same way. So I'm not at all worried about the PATRIOT act violating my rights. And I agree that the founding fathers of America knew what too much power can do to those in charge, that's exactly why we chose to declare independence and secure our rights as citizens in our pursuit of happiness. And I believe that those same founding fathers would take whatever means necessary to defend/protect those freedoms/rights...........:stoned:

I am so sick and tired of this Patriot Act. It is disturbing to know the C.I.A. is listening in on my phone conversation when I am ordering pizza and wings. Dammit!

yeah I'd have to agree with Idg420 on this one. Up to this very day I don't think anyone can prove the power of the patriot act was misused to bust someone for a petty marjiuana charge or for something stupid like that....now its possible that big time drug dealers got screwed over or Ted Bundy wannabe's did but for normal people it really shouldn't concern us. I think the idea that the government has this power makes people leery of the idea that it could be misused against us which is possible but as of right now I don't fear it because it really hasn't been misused. If anything I feel banning guns is more of a threat to society because consider this.....if the patriot act is misused then how are citizens going to defend themselves from such a heinous crime?

well i hope u guys are right i just dont like it when any government has too much power and they can do as they want without warrents.Maybe it wont be misused but do u really think it wont, maybe not today but in the future. If youve ever read the book 1984 then youll know where im coming from.I just dont believe that it wont be misused one day.

You're right it is very well possible that in the distant future these laws can be misused. And when the government pushes its people hard enough we should fight back, that is unless these stupid PC people abolish the use of guns. Also if the people themselves are up to a revolution....but in a soft society such as today I have little faith in such actions.....but hey the revolutionary war was only supported by 25 percent of the colonists. Most people were simply content as long as they kept out of their lives.

The patriot act sucks my balls!! Sorry guys, but if you look into any anti drug propaganda youll notice how much of the funding for street drugs ends up in 'terrorists' hands. This is by their logic: if you buy an ounce, you are funding people who do not believe and will actively destroy american laws and regulations. And thats people inside the us. Therefor, if you use drugs, you're a terroist, or at least by association.

I have no idea why i started to reply to this thread, other than to say the patriot act is bs, and it does push the limits to far. Sure, you cant say that it concretely hasnt been abused, but can you say for certain its been incredibly useful either? Do the benefits outweigh the costs? Hell no.
