Pot Smokers in the Media
Why is it that 90 percent of the people smoking pot on tv are portrayed as lazy, live at home at 40, no job motherfuckers? I mean I love stoner films just as much as the next guy. But after awhile stuff like that makes it harder to fight for legalization when people that are already brainwashed by D.A.R.E. and other bullshit government propaganda. I was watching Half Baked again the other day and damn.....I love dave chappelle but that movie is like the epitome of being a "stupid" stoner, and half baked is far from as guilty as other films like good luck chuck. Where (gorgeous) jessica alba's brother is a stoner ass loser. I mean I'm really looking forward to Seth Rogan's new movie Pineapple Express (look the trailer up) but.....I hope it doesn't portray us as retards as shit like that normally does....
Maybe I'm thinking it over too much....thoughts?13Lack Reviewed by 13Lack on . oh my god. I wanna see that movie while high. The music sounds great and its funny/serious.
I don't think all stoners in the media are like how you say, Harold from Harold and Kumar go to White Castle is basically a white-collar slave where he works and is really neat and uptight about things. And since we're talking about movies, heres the new Harold and Kumar 2 trailer

i know i first smoked because i was tired of just being a good, well-rounded, successful (and ironically, ultimately faceless) person. i wanted to experience everything i could while i was breathing, even 'drugs.' i was fascinated by 'user culture' and the profound effects substance use had on the human mind. i wanted to see what all the hype was about! i made lots of good decisions and a few bad ones too, but i don't regret any of it really.
im venturing out onto a proverbial limb here but hey: im pretty fckin interesting if i do say so myself. or at least i'm bat-shit crazy, which imo is a lot more worthwhile than being 'boring'.
