I would recommend a heater for the water. I use one to keep my tub at 70F. If I don't use it, the water hits 63F. Especially with fluros.

Also, how is the tub light proofed? I ran a test on my tub with just water and all the lights. In 6 days it grew slime. I got some of that reflectix bubble wrap insulation stuff--it's like silver bubblewrap. I covered top to bottom. Now my water is perfectly clear and my roots are perfect (while not white they are healty--my nutes stain them).

Good luck with the orphans!
BuzzPion Reviewed by BuzzPion on . Please evaluate first hydro build. This is my first atempt at growing hydro. I was offered to "resecue" 19 sad looking, misteated 2 week old seedlings. They were left in the rooting cubes, in the tray with almost zero water. :wtf: So I built this ~35 gallon drip DWC thing..... not sure the correct term. It includeds 2 large air stones, dual output air pump, small fountian pump, 1/2 gal an hour dripers, 20 3" netpots with hydroton, 6 T-12 bulbs. I'm not as sure what to look for..... do these plants look "OK" for Rating: 5
