i live in NorCal. i have had migraines since i was around 7 and they are in my medical records. they last for a week or more and common drugs like excedrin have no effect. i was on a daily medication to prevent them but decided to stop because forgetting to take one would cause a migraine which would then last for a week. after getting one that lasted for 2 weeks i ended up in the ER and got a shot of some pain killer which took care of it. at the moment i am prescribed vicodin (5/500) for them. but i am worried about the tylenol in them and dont like the way they make me feel, although better then i would feel with a migraine. would this qualify me?

If you can fog a mirror you can get a rec.
The MMJ laws are a fucking joke.
Have a good one and go get your paper tiger so you only have to worry about the federal law enforcement as opposed to the city, county, state, and fed.

Get a copy of your medical records, the money and make your appointment! :thumbsup: Even the more fussy cannabis specialists will give you a rec if you have a legit medical problem, with the records to prove it. My rec is primarily for migraines due to head trauma, plus other minor aches and pains (I am 60 and some days I feel it).

Now after you have your rec, then you can get a club card if you want. I haven't. First off, it's about 80 miles to the nearest club (our county's only "club" was busted). Second, you are allowed to grow, so Granny has a "very well lit" closet. No club needed, and I'm SURE it is absolutely organic! - Granny:hippy:

the cause of my migraines are unknown i got an MRI at one point to look for one but they found nothing. would this have any affect on my chances?

Sorry. You're correct. I was distracted.
I'm not from California, but I am an OMMP patient in Oregon, and Migraines are one of my qualifying conditions.
An inconclusive MRI will not change the fact that you are being treated for Migraines, so it will not effect the fact that you qualify for a card.

I worked at 2 clinics, I moved here to do just that.
I am telling you from personal experience here in California, all it takes is for you to be able to fog a mirror to get a rec. I am sorry that is troubling to some, it's also the truth. Does this hurt the MMJ movement, yes. Is it my fault, no, I am just pointing it out. Are the laws a fucking joke, yes. Did one of the main authors of Californias MMJ legislation come out basically saying the same thing, yes. Does all of this make me anti MMJ, no. I am just telling you the truth, you were questioning if you could get a rec, my answer was as posted. I am sorry that it isn't peachy and smelling like roses, I am just telling you what I honestly know to be true. To be honest with you, you may not even want to get the rec, I believe that most places charge as much or more for the rec, than the misdemeanor ticket would be IF you happened to get ticketed for posession. And again that is on the very far off chance that you would be in a law enforcement situation. If you have a brain then you likely wouldn't put yourself in a situation like that to begin with, could still benefit from using medical marijuana, and save yourself some dough. But of course if you don't know anyone that you could get medicine from then obviously it would be simpler to walk into a club/clinic and get it, you also have some assurance of quality but I say that lightly.
As far as a "club card" goes, I don't have one, never needed one. I have been to multiple multiple clinics, never needed it ever, have never been asked for one. The law is very clear, you only need a valid state i.d. and doctors recomendation period.

Storm Crow gave you the best advice, GROW YOUR OWN. The clubs and clinics will not always be there, and you are way way better off long term economically to do so. If there is one good thing that has happened due to prop 215 and sb 420 it is that it allows for you as a patient to do just that, grow your own.

8182KSKUSH thanks for the input on reasons for growing my own, along with storm crow. i think thats what i would do just grow my own stuff, and maybe go to a club a couple times.

also your post could have done without the reply to psteve, this is not why i posted this thread for people to fight if you two want to talk please do it somewhere else it would mean a lot to me. i posted this for information for helping me not reading people fight with each other.
