broken stem

man... i found my plant's stem broke but it was still hanging on about half way. i taped it back together and i have it tied up to a stick. does anyone know if it will stay alive and heal?

nah it was only broke half way. so will it stay alive and heal ?

i've healed broken stems up to 3/4ths gone and they were fine in a few weeks. if it's bent be shure to squeeze it back open so the plant can pull water up; if it's cracked just seal it up as good as possable.

i faced the same problem with one of my ladies as i tried to tie her down with LST (low stress training.....instead of 90 degrees i pulled her almost 120 (lol) and the stem broke after one day.....that was about a week ago...now everything is fine, she has recovered, the point of break seems that has being not only healed but strengthened as well and the plant grows even more in height....form what i have realised so far, in case of a break, the plant freezes growth and concentrates all powers to heal and strengthen.....afterwards, it resumes growing

It should heal if it is firmly tied back in place. Have had whole branches break and was able to repair. Used copper wire as it is easiy to manipulate and tie. Plant recovered and branch produced a nice cola.
