    Is this normal while vegging?

whilt I don't have a lot of first hand experience with this.
there was this 1 time where I had a hydro plant that flowered while in veg mode.and when I fliped her to 12-12 her buds got sticky as hell and even bigger than they had gotten while in veg cycle.

I do wanna say! holy shit. Thouse buds look great.

Hey thanks, I am going to keep my fingers crossed I guess, I really want to avoid any disasters! And I really can't wait until they start to "really" flower! I hope I get a similar outcome to what you had!

I guess it's safe to say that this is not common?
Could it have to do with it being a "outdoor" type?
    Thanks again for input.

I was under the impression that a plant will stay in a state of perpetual veg under constant light (18/6) ?? I've read nothing of a plant flowering under 18 hours of daylight. Maybe something is going on with your lights/timer?

I promise, it's not the lights or the timer, had one other that remained completely normal, only shot preflowers, never had any accumulating buds.

Please, I would really like some input from EXPERIENCED GROWERS!!!
I know what is supposed to happen in 18/6, that's why I am posting the question.
The other side of this is, I was planning on keeping one as a mum, (in a perpetual veg state) so now I wonder if this is going to be possible?:wtf:

Please don't post to bump threads, especially when the previous bump was only an hour ago...

Are you completely certain that the skunk you have is indeed Skunk#1 and not in any way related to the Mighty Mite line?

Sorry stinky, he asked me a question, I was just replying.

Mighty mite? I don't think so, I can't be for sure though. What is mighty mite? It is supposedly "outdoor" skunk #1, so I assumed that maybe it was just going to get huge, you think that it could be just genetics?
    P.S.
I couldn't find crap for information on the strain as far as growing. I assumed that it would probably not be a good idea to grow it indoors, but I didn't exactly have any other options.

Skunk #1 rocks hard indoors even though the original breeding work on the line was done outdoors in New England. It's built for abuse- squat, hardy, and noob-proof. Flowers fast too.
MM is related to the skunks and was bred to be grown pretty far north and will in fact flower under 18 hours of light. It's not a TRUE autoflower, but it's damn close.

    Sounds logical.
Jesus!! Flowering under 18 hours!!!! That is pretty rad! Rolodexing the grow brain you have, is there anything else to attribute this to?

I would have to have this under 24 hours to be sure that it stays in veg then if what you are saying is right? Is time a factor as well with MM? They were under 18/6 since the beginning, everything seemed normal, preflowers came, then they just kept getting bigger and bigger.
I am off to learn about MM!

yeah, you realize after the preflowers turn into clusters that its not quite what you expected.

i have an autoflowering strain (lowryder cross of some kind), and the first time the females autoflowered, i took it as preflowers and immediately switched to 12/12

it wasnt till the second grow of the cross and some sativas that i realised that the male had about 300 polen sacks under 23hr light. so now hes gonna pollinate the best sativa for some seeds.

Is this all normal, these plants are doing all this while in veg? Could it have something to do with how long I vegged them? I apologize if it is normal, I am the new guy, I just don't know, I just have to ask.
    Heya 8182KSKUSH ,

I have a limited knowledge with what it is you're querying, as I have myself, just started venturing into hydroponics. I feel I've researched (Weeks back) a desent understanding of your query though, so I might have some useful info for you...

    1. I have an odor and stickyness of the finngers with my young plant at approx 4weeks and also have a bushy little fella - see attached pic
    2. I can see quite a few pistels already forming, so seeing many just before flowering would be a semi-common occurance
    3. It can be a normal occurance for agressive formations of bud sites (Like the ones in ur pics) only three days into flowering - There's nutrients/chemicals on the market that can induce flowering with in 1-3 days after to switching to the 12 / 12 light cycle

Another researched opinion would be - That the plant has matured properly or of mature age and is ready to flower when ever you switch to 12/12 light cycle (Flower cycle), doesn't mean you can't keep it on the 18/6 and remain safe in veg mode

My opinion: Awesome plant with a very high yeild a-waiting for you to harvest - well done, keep us posted in a few weeks...

    Cheers!

Note: The above is just a "Self Educated" opinion based on less than 5 weeks casual research whilst setting up my first hydro system...
