Best HID bulb

I have/most likely will never use an HID lamp so I don't know much about the subject. I was wondering if some of you HID growers could gimme a little feedback. I have some numbers sitting in front of me covering LED lights and T5 fluoro ect. I just need to know what you guys know to be the best HPS flowering/MH veg bulbs. Also if you know of a link where they have the spectrum analysis of the bulb/s that would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I'm happy with sylvania's GroLux Bulb Range, check it out. good from vegging through to flowering, I'm told, I'll find out in my grow log soon! yay!

Hortilux Super HPS for flower.

If any of you old farts out there have a 250/400 HPS magnetic ballast....try a Ceramic Metal Halide bulb....in 250 or 400 watt CMH....:thumbsup:
Veg or Flower...same bulb...period. It's a conversion bulb.

Legwork eh? Didn't now sharing information that you have already acquired was legwork. You obviously mis-read my post, I am not looking for a grow light to use, just wanted opinions from those who actually use them (since I don't) on which was the best. I wouldn't base shit off of information from the internet which is why I wanted actual opinions from people who have not only grown plants but CANNABIS with them. Please don't waste space in this thread to try to bash me. I plan on doing a mere spectrum comparison and crunching a few numbers to see which type of lam in theory would offer the most usable light per watt. Thanks to the rest of you for your input, it has been very helpful! :thumbsup:

No, I think I read it pretty well the first time. If you want info, don't tell me you are wasting my time. I'm kinda funny that way.

You now say that you wouldn't "base shit off of information from the internet", yet in your first post, were asking for info or a link that is easily found on the internet, not to mention the 2 pages of info by using the search function onsite. (hid light spectrums)
It's really no big deal to me, as I had every confidence someone would come along, and give the info. It just struck me as insulting, phrasing your first line as you did, and I responded in the way I respond to others that are unaware there is a Google for other stuff beyond maps. I'm not an old fart yet (I'm still working on that), but I do own an old magnetic HPS400. I've seen a Phillips CMH, but I never really looked that deep into it... plus, I don't think it was a bulb that could burn in a universal position. Actually, I think it was supposed to be vertical.

Anyway, have you had good results using these bulbs? And if so, what manufacturer did you go with? I'd love to hear feedback on it, because they seem ridiculously expensive, but I have to admit that I'm intrigued by the idea.
