Any jail time is too severe. Nobody should be confined to a jail cell for being in possession of or attempting to buy or sell a plant. And just because a lot of people lie doesn't make it any less right to insist that penalties be enforced for certain crimes that you have committed and refuse to undergo those penalties yourself. because majority of people in jail because of marijuana arent in there for s few recreational uses here and there, there are very few states that have jail time for small personal ammounts of marijuana, and plus he didnt get cought, hes smarter than your average idiot

Yes, everyone makes mistakes, and I can see why he wouldn't want to little kids to smoke pot because he did. Because I am sure he stays up at night worrying about the children... . (Especially right before he sends one of their military parents to Iraq). He was worried about it hurting his chances for election.
