You have no evidence to back your claim up. The spectrum the LED PANELS output is in fact within the proper ranges to grow with.

Secondly, light output is going to be low on all LED lights.

if you look here they have 3,5,10,15watt leds yes!!!!
    LedEngin, Inc.

    Hey veggii @ physicsnole;

Not all 5mm LED are created equal.
HomeGownLights 14w panels do work and have applications like my nursery; 2'X8' shelf transplanting macro plugs into 4"X4" blocks (144 0f them) growing to abt 6" to 10" plants. I had been using 2-4' tt-105 fluro @ 420watts and replaced it with 16-14watt panels @ 224watts. No loss in growth.

I admit that hi-power LEDs are what is making possible complete grows.....just don't count out those little 5mms, they have a place.

(china panels have a place in the garbage)
Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic

    Hey All,

I was swept away by the LED craze and ended up buying those exact LEDs. I have 4 panels of the red/blue mix and i'm using them on my flowering side.

    I am also using 2 T8 fluro fixtures...so in total i have 4 panels of LEDs and 4 T8 3000K bulbs.

i'm not satisfied with them (duh...)

Here are some pics of them at 4.5 weeks into flowering. The plants haven't grown an inch since i put them in there. But they are definitely flowering and they have a mess of trichomes and they smell AMAZING. I bet i barely harvest 1/4 oz from both plants.

I just got a 400w HPS that i'll be swapping the LEDs for this weekend. If you want to try them out i'd sell them to you for 3/4 the price of the HTG site. (i'm sorry if this violates a forum rule, if it does, then forget the whole thing.)

There's a fair amount of flowers for these little plants, but i don't imagine them getting a whole lot fuller. let me know what ya'll think

    thanks
    Skeet

ok.....MAYBE i might know what I am talking about...those china panel 225 LEDs SUCK...tried them already. The Procyon is the only thing out on the market right now growing plants out to the end...check out either thread in my sig to see if they really work....
    again...
DO NOT buy the cheap 225 panels...they WILL not flower a plant...and i used 2 of those panels, and they wouldnt even keep a 2ft male alive....

100 watt Procyon is equivalent to the 400 HPS is what they advertise however I cannot verify the claim.
