im on a 6" vortex rated at 450cfm

when hooking im sucking all the fresh air through my air cooled hood to my fan and it goes out of my fan blowing to my carbon filter. at the top of the carbon filter box is a 6" flange to hook up my exhaust hose(in the last pic you should be able to see part of the metal flange between the box and the wall)

remember you want the air to go across the carbon as slow as possible to get a better scrub

DIY CARBON FILTER ROUND 2 so my first filter i made just didnt seem to cut it. maybe it had an air pocket or maybe i had it too close to the fan and it wasnt scrubbing enough. i dont know but i swear i could smell some buds around my house. now i have a big filter, and it is full of 15 lbs of carbon and a total diameter of 3". so i said i have to change i cant have family or some friends know. right, i could get into some shit. so one day i was watching an episode of urban grower and saw this nice carbon filter Rating: 5
