Just tested with Quick Fix - worried...
Hi everyone, I just returned from my drug test at Quest Diagnostics. Unfortunately, everything didn't go as smoothly as I hoped - mostly because I was really nervous.
First, the heating pad did not maintain a high enough temperature. In the cup, my sample came in at 93 degrees. As such, the lab guy put the sample in the "room temp specimen" bin (which was pretty full!). After I saw that, I started freaking out. While my voice was fine and I sounded calm, when he asked me to sign and date the form, my hand was shaking like mad and the text was barely legible!
Anyway, I'm worried that they are going to examine the sample more thoroughly because of the temp and that I'm going to get caught!!!
Please, anyone who has experienced a similar situation or who has knowledge of these products or urine analysis, let me know if you think I'm okay.Nausicaa Reviewed by Nausicaa on . Well, he poured the sample into a smaller cup, wrapped it in a bag, and threw it in a plastic bin. With a bunch of similar looking bags. On the front of the bin, it was written in marker, "room temp samples". Again though, the temp on the cup was about 93 degrees.
EDIT: And yes, I read the sticky. I followed all the advice perfectly. My sample temp was just a little low for some reason.
EDIT 2: Also, I want to specify, he didn't say anything about the sample. He was a friendly guy and pretty laid back. He didn't ask me to empty my pockets or anything, and I helped put one of those big water containers on for him.
Would he have said something if something seemed off?
The other problem with the temp is that I didn't stay in the bathroom very long since I was worried the temp would drop further. I don't know if it was believable that the temperature dropped to 93 so quickly.

Ok, so if you read the sticky, what is the accepted temperature range? Did you get a copy of thje chain of custody form? If so, can you go get it and look back over it. Instead of just telling you the answers, I'm going to teach you a few things so if there is a next time, you aren't so nervous. See, you can feed a man for a day or teach him to fish and feed him for life!

Haha, I appreciate any lesson you're willing to give. I've been paranoid about drug testing for so long. So long that I've passed up job opportunities because they drug test. I read about quick fix and decided to try it this time.
I know the acceptable temperature range. I do have the release for in front of me (thanks for reminding me, forgot he gave this to me). He checked the box about temperature, "yes". So that looks good. It also says the sample was released to a Quest Diagnostics Courier.
I took the test at 11:50 AM. The "room temp specimen" bin was pretty full. I'm gonna go ahead and guess the label is old, and they just put all the samples in the bin.

You should be good I just passed mine and I only saw ONE bin where they threw my sample. And if it read 93 degrees u should be ok. And if you were nervous signing the person who collects the test cannot do anything... They send it away to headquarters they only collect the samples. I was a little nervous and the woman even said "GOOD LUCK" I wasnt sure if I was showing signs of being nervous but I thought I handled myself well.
If I had to bet I would say your gonna pass, dont worry about it there is nothing that can be done now so I wouldnt bother urself about worrying about it. Good Luck

Thanks for the comforting words. In combination with a fresh bowl I'm definitely feeling a little more relaxed about it now. I'm glad you only noticed one bin. I got to stand in the room for a long time, and I looked to see if there was any other place for samples, and I couldn't find one. I'm guessing I mis-read the writing on the bin, it meant something else, or it didn't mean anything. There were too many samples in there for it to be exclusively filled with suspicious urine.

If you used QF and the temp was within range,90 to 100, then you are safe. Good luck on your next job.
