Hi Can somebody help me out please?

Hi, I'm a first timer here, and hope someone can help me out a bit. I have two female plants, both about 2 1/2 feet tall, that just don't seem to want to bud! They get miracle gro, 3 times weekly watering, and are getting 12 hours complete darkness, and direct sun and floro in the day. What's my problem? They just keep making new leaves all over the place! Thanks for any help! :hippy:

Hi Can somebody help me out please?

How long has it been getting 12 hours of complete darkness?

How many hours of light is it getting?

Hi Can somebody help me out please?

How are you giving them complete darkness and guaranteeing that it comes at the same time every day?
I see you mention sunlight. I assume you must manually move your plants or put down curtains to give them darkness. I also assume that you are not able to do this at the same time every day.
I suggest you look at all the grow logs on here and notice that every successful indoor grower uses timers and a grow chamber that may be darkened fully just by switching off the lights.
What does your darkening area look like?

Not sure how valid this is but I have heard rumors that Miracle Grow stunts your plants growth and that you are supposed to use only certian fertilizers. I'm not sure what fertilizers to use but Ed Rosenthal has a great guide called Marijuana Grower's Handbook. If you get a chance you should check out that book.

Any fertilizer can be harmful to plants, stunting their growth or killing them altogether. Most MG ferts just aren't ideal for cannabis. There are much better choices on the market (chemical and organic), they're just not as widely available as MG and Schultz plant foods. Most growers who actively pursue this activity eventually graduate to a more appropriate feeding regimen, but still keep the MG on hand for special situations.

Hi Can somebody help me out please?

doctoralwaysin I used Miracle Gro on my first grow.
I do agree miracle Grow is not ideal, it is missing some of the micro am macro elements.
I supplemented it with Molasses, Superthrive and Tarantula.
The plants came out fine, but I do suggest switching to a more complete fertilizer.

    Just my 2 cents.
    Good Luck.

    Some Miracle Gro Buds
