I don't want to be told what to do by a government, and if you were a little smarter, you would realize that, for example, while the Canadian government is more socialist than the American government, nobody here's telling anyone what to do, in fact the government is made up of a bunch of cowards who cave in to every demand made by taxpayers. I'm not saying our government is better than yours, I'm just trying to prove that there's more than yes or no, black or white, up or down.

Taking a document written in the 1770s literally is absolutely stupid. In case you haven't noticed, we're in the year 2005. That's a 230 year difference. Are you going to tell me that your priorities are the same as people who lived 230 years ago? Are you saying you need your government to do the same thing it did 230 years ago? Do you need to fight off the British army because you don't wanna pay taxes to the king anymore? Do you need to dispossess millions of natives from their own land?

Didn't think so.

the nature of tyranny and the methods employed by governments to enslave populations is timeless...we just have computers and technology to make that process easier for the elite.

the constitution simply attempted to stop the possiblity of that happening, and a lot of what's in it should still apply, even though it doesn't...as we slip into those historical forms of tyranny...

read the declaration of independence...it's basically the same stuff that goes on now here and around the world that they're complaining about.
