I posted this theory on another forum a while back. Thanks to Penguin and Don from GardensCure...Been really busy moving an sh*t. But I'm settled in now and ready to give it a crack. Got my research notes and am ready to go.
I initially wanted to utilize the explosive growth rates of DWC and the high plant numbers/high bud density of SOG. They showed me that using a 3foot x 3foot x 1foot tall container would restrict the roots growing if I were to allow 2 weeks veg - 49 plants BTW. On the other hand if I only allowed for 1 week or even less then it defeats the growth rates of DWC and the benefits would not be substantial enough. I have since realised that I like the ease of use that can be found in DWC and am not willing to move water - ebb/flow. Thus I'm going to stick with DWC.
So here's the setup that I am planning to create. Small I know but gotta learn to crawl first.

600w MH for Veg - 600w HPS for Flowering - Digital Ballast.
9 clones of AK-47 with 5 days veg after rooting.
I would love to hear suggestions for a container size. I want to go big to allow at least 2 gallons per plant to keep nute changes down and maintain stability. I'm thinking at least 1.2 feet high to allow plenty of room.
Room size is 3feet wide x 7feet long x 6.5feet high.

Maybe I can give you some helpfull advice as I have seen what a person can do with DWC. What I like to do is have a bit bigger plants in DWC buckets and set it up like a perpetual harbvest.

You can go 4 rows of 4 or 5 rows of 5 with small plants , so thats like 16-20 plants in a square. But thats alot of air pumps!!

You shold go with 3x3 under a 600 watt hps so thats 9 plants. You might be able to yield 1-2 oz per plant.

ya i didnt read about your space dimensions but you could probably go 2 rows of 4 and get 1-2 oz per plant

For 600 watts I would go (I do go actually) 4 X 4 with 4 plants. And really it should be a bit smaller than that, maybe 3.5 x 3.5. With a month veg and that setup I get about 4 ounces or so per plant.

Thanks for all the imput guys but i'm afraid I've wasted your time. i've decided not to go Hydro. I am instead going the natural route, outdoors and in soil...I plan on keeping a few bonsai mums at home and doing single cola clones at a secret location...
