I know the garden center of Toronto Hemp Company carries it.

However, 'The Shitz' is more ideal for IN the ground as it does lack a small amount of trace element. If you do decide to use it in a pot then you'll probably have to fill the trace elements out with something.

    Hope this helps,
    Bob.

Well, don't change your plans on account of your nutrients.. buy your nutrients according to your plans... I'm just saying that 'The Shitz' is a great organic fert that comes in both VEG and Bloom formula's. It's simply more ideal for being amended into the ground because it lacks minor trace elements. The directions are directly on the bags.. you can mix it with water, sprinkle it on the topsoil and let the gravity/water pull in it.. and or pre-amend it into the soil.

I've heard really good things about Sunshine#4 it's about the same ratio of vermiculite/perlite and peat as Pro-mix Bx.

Being in Pots outside is not a bad way to grow... it gives you the availability of moving the plants around if need be. In the ground, you're a bit more...stationary.

    question for canadians

i want to go with what you experienced people do because i am sick of experimenting with multiple soils and wasting months away without getting a single gram from my screwed up plants and it is ok if they are stationary as i will not be visiting this spot very often, (maybe even until september) because it is very far away from where i live and in the summer im sure it will be loaded with ticks + mosquitos which i am grossed out by and deadly afraid of lol. im just looking for something that would be better than just throwing them in the ground and hoping for a miracle as i will be unable to fertilize after I plant them in the spring

Well, you got the right idea.

Both of these mixes that we're talking about are considered a soilless mix. Meaning there's not really any significant nutrients in it and you are adding your own nutrients to it.
They're considered a form of hydroponics.. as you're adding the nutrients to the water .. and watering the medium.

The medium is only one part of the equation too... find a nice nutrient regiment that's formulated for specific stages of growth.

It's a symbiotic relationship between medium, nutrient, light and plant.

Lies I say... we all make our mistakes.. it's apart of the trial and error process.

The size of the whole in the ground and amount of mix that you use is kind of up to you. You could use 3 or 4 gallons of your own mix and that should be enough to give you a majority of control over that plant.
