    promix is awesome for seedlings.

My tap water is ph 7.4 approx. My run off in promix soil is about 6.3-6.8.

    question for canadians

I've read on here that Promix has a very high ppm if you took a cup and filled it with half promix/half water, let it soak overnight and check the water will be over 1000ppm. So they say to get Sunshine Mix #4 which is like the same as the promix with a much lower ppm, like 300ppm or so. Then again, tons of people on here use promix also...just sharing what I've read

    Try Coco Choir! 100% Organic.

You gotta mix in your own perlite though..

    question for canadians

thanks everyone i have heard from my hydroponics guy that sunshine mix #4 is the top seller what i am doing is an outdoor grow in the summer and i will not be able to check on them more than maybe once a month as they will be about 100 miles away from where i live and am really looking for a soil that wont burn seedlings yet have a good amount on nitrogen and other good stuff without having to add a bunch of nutes, almost like the plant it and leave it alone technique. Do you guys think promix bx or sunshine mix no.4 mixed with 25% earthworm castings would be enough for the plants to live on throughout there life and be nice and healthy and decent yield?

    question for canadians

I would look into some type of timed release nutrients that you can mix in with the soil seeing as you won't be able to tend to them very often

    Boooo

It's a cycle plant, time released nutrients = imbalances later down the road.

pre-amend an Organic growth formula into your mix.. but by no means use time released nutrients.

Outdoor in the ground.. go for 'The Shitz' growth blend it's a 7-4-4 and comprised of 7 different worm castings, bird and bat guano's.

    Try it!

the shitz sounds amazing do you know where i could find it? i wont be planting directly into the ground just in a 3 gal. pot.

and i have had very bad experience with time released plant food, it burns the crap out of the young seedlings
