ok what color of trics would you aim for? im heading towards couch lock...i love that feeling

For most strains, I like to chop them down when about 10-20% of the trichs have turned amber. Usually a good mix between a speedy high and a sedative effect. I really don't like waiting too far beyond this because THC degradation seems to become rampant quicker.
