That's cool. I like "Pali Gap" better, though. Thanks, he was inspirational.

Satch has been one of my favorite guitarists since I was a kid. Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett are runners up... both used to take lessons from Joe, and now look at them!

Then I saw him nail that same solo note-for-note at a G3 concert, and even threw in some eccentric shit just for the fun of it!
He's great, someone all aspiring guitarists should take the time to listen to and study. I've learned a ton of great techniques from watching his live DVDs. And a lot of them aren't ridiculously complicated, they're just played a light speed! His slower stuff is great, too... and much more attainable for newer players.
Here are a few more good songs to "chill" to:
Until We Say Goodbye
(I swear to God he's an alien. Just look at him!)
The Extremist
(This whole album is insane.)
Always With Me, Always With You
(Another slow jam with great solos.)
If you play guitar, check out the rest of his live videos. Study his technique, get some his tablature, and learn a few of his songs. It'll inspire you to be just as creative when you're coming up with your own jams.
