No no, leave the leaves on the pot, but put the pot in a bigger pot.
That plant looks almost a foot tall and needs at least a gallon pot. Plastic this time, and no built-in drip tray. Basically, buy the CHEAPEST plastic 1-3 gallon pot you can find, or better yet, use on of those crappy black nursery pots that non-pot plants come in. Those are very good because the drain holes are so large and the plastic is slippery, which will come in handy when you re-pot, as you will soon discover, trying to repot out of terra cotta!
