    Leaky Co2 Regulator Tank problem

I just bought a Co2 tank. I got a regulator and the Green air Cdds-2 & CDM-6000 digital sequencer to control the ppm's from my buddy. I tried connecting the regulator to the tank but it would leak real bad. Is there supposed to be a spacer or gasket in between the tank and regulator? Also whats the process for programming the Cdds-2 to adapt to a new room?

    Thanks

I don't know about programming, but a roll of teflon tape that you can buy at a plumbers' supply will really help the threads seat properly. Be warned though, if the teflon tape shreds, it can clog the regulator, so be sure to replace it cleanly every time you change the tank, removing any bits clinging to the threads.

I asked the guy at the welding supply store if it needed tephlon tape and he said no and that could cause it to leak. Its worth a try though...

if its anything like a welding connection it has an inverted style flare. there can be a possibility that the flare is cracked/pitted/not true. and if it is a flare style tape will most likely do no good

and using teflon tape there are different types for gases and for liquids

    Leaky Co2 Regulator Tank problem

well I ordered a washer from Hydroponics | Hydroponic Supplies for $5 shipped and guess what it works, yeaaaa no more leaks. I'm glad it was something cheap. I was worried that the regulator was broke. My girls are now swimming in a fresh 1000 ppm of some yummy c02!
