On just what you are doing with it! If you are making plain cannabutter or oil, yes, it smells.

If you are going to use it in a space cake and are heating up the oil with fragrant spices (cinnamon, allspice, ginger, etc) and your cannabis, no problem! Liberal amounts of oregano and garlic will hide the scent if you are doing a pasta dish. Barbecue sauce covers odors, too.

I have a wide variety of herbs and spices in my kitchen. I usually get mine at the health food store. They are much cheaper when you don't have to buy the bottle! I have bottles that I originally bought some 30 years ago and have refilled over and over again!

    You do the math!

Actually the "dump and bake" method will work, but I feel I get better results by first putting the pot and spices into the oil or butter. Heat until it is just too warm for your finger to be in the oil and let cool (you don't want to fry it!). Then just dump the herbed oil right into the mix like the directions say. Not that hard! Happy baking! - Granny:hippy:

the last time i made cannabutter i failed but the odor from the simmer is pretty intense tho.
With my feet upon the ground, i lose myself between the sounds and open wide to suck it in, i feel it move across my skin. im reaching up and reaching out, im reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me, whatever will bewilder me. following our will and wind, we may just go where no ones been. We\'ll ride the spiral to the end it may just go where no ones been. Tool---Lateralus

Grandmothers are great. Especially when they tell you how to cook with weed.

Good point on the spices - 100% correct.

    Listen to her. Granny knows.
