The wrong Hanna Meter Combo
I came into possession of a Hanna Meter that measures MS (micro semens) and PPT (not sure now if that is parts per thousands or trillions).
2 Shops have sold me the ppm calibrating fluid 1500. That really messed up the meter and read .95 (conversion is 950 ppt I THINK)
They even sold me calibrating fluid for a Milwaukee meter? Im pretty sure now I got my hands on the correct fluid of 1382, bought 5 packs and came home to find they expired 3 years ago. Tried using one and its not reading 1382 when I try and calibrate the pen its reading 1.14ppt (again I think thats 1140 in ppm).
The hydro store said they ordered that stuff on accident no one ever needs that fluid, so I guess I got the least popular pen and I am pretty sick of buying stuff thinking the shops know what I need. Neither shop could calibrate it, they asked if I bought that outside the USA. One shop suggests I buy the meter everyone uses from hanna, the other shop said you dont really need to measure the nutes just follow GH recipe.
One shop seems to know what they are doing (looking at the shop, and matching shirts they were wearing, they had to get out a manual to figure out how to ring up my purchase?), however the other store admitted to me she never grew anything........at all. So ironically tell me I need stuff and I buy it, only to have the other place say Ill test your water if you bring it in because PH is really the most important thing and you will waste your money on another meter.
Isnt that sweet, except I dont live to close even to my closest hydro shop.
METER yes or NO, am I the proud owner of the only Hanna Meter that measures MS, PPT, & PH?luvfriday Reviewed by luvfriday on .
