DWC Using Advanced A + B Sensi bloom....

ok mag def back again. I corrected it quickly and all is well. The purple maxx is the bomb!! I think the mag is ph related, no big deal easy fix and running smooth.

DWC Using Advanced A + B Sensi bloom....

Overall I was happy with the grow. The Advanced worked well except odd def's showing up here and there. The purple maxx....well let's be fair and say it may have added resin but it FOR SURE cut yeild by 50%. I am now switching to Botanicare with advanced supplements. Anybody using or used the AN A + B?

    whoa whoa whoa, rewind that.

MG deficiencies (in MY experience) appear DUE TO HARD WATER!!

    why?

well, the water is usually 'hard' due to excess minerals, one of those being CALCIUM.

now, MJ doesn't like too much calcium. give MJ too much calcium and WHAT HAPPENS....CALCIUM LOCKS OUT THE MAGNESIUM!!

so, if you are using HARD WATER and NOT giving an epsom salt treatment, then you are MOST LIKELY experiencing a MAGNESIUM deficiency!!

believe me, I have experienced this problem in ALL of my grows (hard water can be a BITCH!!) so a MG deficiency is EASY to spot if you know what to look for.

    got pictures?

A MAGNESIUM def. will result in COMPACTED "STUCK" GROWING TIPS THAT RESULT IN SLOW GROWTH.

Your fan leaves will start to yellow around the EDGES of the fan leaves. (It looks NOTHING like a N deficiency, if you are familiar with an N def....)

So, I would start with a good FOLIAR FEED OF MG (get some epsom salt, in your local pharmacy section...).

Get some DISTILLED WATER and add epsom salt until your ppm is about 150-200ppm. Spray your plants until they are nice and soaking (DO NOT SPRAY WHILE HID LIGHTS ARE ON!!!!! it's okay to spray while flouros are on).

spray every other day until you get your nice green foliage back. you could probably add some epsom salt to your res, but I don't know enough about hydro to advise such an action.

I totally agree with you nut this showed up randomly and was just a slight one. I think that the def showed it's self just before res changes. The strain was eating! Any way it wasn't throughout the grow just random so not too worried about the water as I use it with all my grows. Thanks

Don't forget you can always call AN and ask 'em whatever you like. Obviously they can help most with their own products, but they don't care what you're growing or what you're growing with.

I keep the number around here somewhere... 1-800-640-9605. I haven't had this particular problem yet, but they've always helped me out when I called. The only drawback is it's not open 24/7. They get up pretty early for west coast and are up pretty late, but no weekends, darn it.

Never hurts to ask. I mean sure, you'll get their answer to the problem but ultimately they want you to buy more AN stuff, right? So they'll want to make sure you grow well and like the results.

At least that's been my experience.
