    well when there's other people, it's a 2-person endeavor.

Someone heats it and dips it in for you.

as far as getting frustrated, the taste is so much better that it's a really good payoff. I find I get a more mellow result as well.

damn straight. dont get me wrong guys this shit is tedious and dangerous (in a sense) if not careful. BUT holy crap the smoke is unreal, when God designed ganja this is how he meant for it to be smoked.

for practicality, portability purposes, you're better off picking up a ceramic heating wand that plugs in or is cordless. It's just as clean, and quite a bit more efficient.

theoretically then couldnt i just use a soldering iron, one that hasnt been used for its intended purpose of course, but wouldnt that be basically the same thing, just metal, and i dont think you would get any metal with it because it is a very low heat for the metal and such.

No Jim:wtf:, you take off the metal end used for soldering so the ceramic heating element inside is all dat touches the bud

    OK
here's why glass rod > Soldering Iron

Soldering Iron takes 5 minutes to heat up (Correct me if I'm wrong) Glass wand, 10 seconds. Soldering Iron stays hot, glass wand cools off thus making it safer.

Also, they cost about the same. I got my wand for $10.

you make a good point there, and i was wondering if there were any drawbacks from using a soldering iron due to the fact that i have a spare one just laying around, but seeing as you make the time argument like you have, i may go out and try to find one, or atleast have the local glass blower make one.

one thing that is better about the soldering iron is the you dont have to keep reheating it. just let it sit while you break up weed and pack bowl. should be hot enough by then and will stay hot. either or is a great method of smoking the green

yeah but let's say you're in a carpeted room...

kinda easy to knock onto the floor.

Actually there's something really soothing and ritualistic about heating the wand. Very much in the same way as packing a bowl or rolling a really nice joint.
