GINGER and its effects on THC absorption
Coelho, maybe you would know something about the effects of ginger, preferably raw, allowing a faster absorption of the psychoactive compounds into the bloodstream by increasing blood flow to the stomach lining?

Okay I read something recently that suggested there was a link, and I've taken to eating crystallized ginger along with my edibles, and even added Chinese ginger to my last batch of chocolate truffles (ginger, cardamom, black pepper, dark chocolate flavored... crowd cheers... lol).
I think this is worth pursuing! I am also interested in the possibility that capsacin (hot pepper active compound) could serve a similar effect.
Ginger-snap sugar cookies with crystallized ginger would probably be a good way to test? Maybe dual batches, one with, one without?
I feel a bakin' comin' on...

Hm... its a very nice thing to know... unfortunately my amount of weed is VERY small, so i cant afford experiences with eating it anymore...
But if you had positive results, please tell us! If the results were impressive enough, im sure ill be tempted to give it a try. :eat::thumbsup::stoned:

What,s up stinkyattic? I've been in and out alot so I have'nt been on nearly as much as I should be. Scientificly I can't say wether or not there is a direct corrilation because I'm an Ironworker and not a scientist. If I had to make a call strictly on general knowledge I would say that there is a very strong possibillity that the ginger would help. Ginger helps aid in the digestion of food, helps settle sick or upset stomach, and just plain taste good. If ginger aids in digestion it stands to reason that it would help you digest your treats faster leading to a faster on set of your desired effect. If ginger works than it also seems to me that peppermint would do the same as well because it too has a soothing effect on the stomach, thus the little mints at those fancy resturants I can't afford to eat at.:jointsmile:
