10 weeks with the 600 sounds quite normal. Thinking back, when I only had one 400w hps, my Swazi took around 10 or 11 weeks. One of the main reasons I talked wife into another light, lol.
Was the only quality strain I had at the time, needed it to mature a bit quicker.
I Veg with 400w MH.
When clones or seedling get to be around 8", I bend the stem pretty radically. Around 2 weeks later, I transplant to the 3 gallon pot, and free them from bondage. This accelerates the side growth prior to flower. Total main stem length, including the bend is around 12" to 16".
With the two sources of light, one above the plants, one in front of them, the plants will mature at around 8 or 9 weeks barring any problems. Total height at time of harvest is usually around 3 1/2 to 4'. During the summer here, our desert heat can extend that a bit, but still in the ballpark.
When I was flowering with the one 400w buds weren't nearly as dense. Almost 'fluffy', like secondary buds. With both of the 400's, tight, hard colas and 'secondary' buds. I pollinate runtbuds near the base, when I need seeds.
