was this a re-vegged plant or did you just harvest the top bud?

whats your setup like?......it kind of looks like a flowering plant trying to veg again.

    250w HPS
    temps around 28c*
I had 4 plants, killed two skinny ones, and one of the two turned hermie, seeded alot of the plant, so i chopped the bad stuff (was 7ft tall, now around 3.5ft) and took out the hermie, it was around 6weeks ago that i took the last scrawny plant growth away. has been under 12/12 for around 12weeks or more.
It has really improved in density over the last 2weeks.
    Canna terra soil
    canna terra nutrients (flores/boost/pk13)
    P.h around 6.2
    humidity 35-60

I gotta be honest, it looks in rough shape to me. I would raise PH to 6.8 - 7.0
You sure that it's getting 12 hours darkness, with no major light leaks? You may have nutrient burn or possibly heat damage. All can be contributing to your extra long flowering period. Even is sativa dominant it should be nearing completion by now, but yours seem to have a while to go.

    thankyou perp
Its the exact kind of comments im looking for
I'll look into the P.h Today
Yes its on 12/12, its on a timer and im usually around at on/off periods
Im going to look into light leaks today, if there is any, its only very minor
(4" fanx2 and around a 1-2mm gap around parts of the door)
i didnt think it was letting sufficient light in, but i was more than likely wrong
How long under near perfect conditions would you guys expect this plant to have left? i was guessing around 4/5 weeks?

Sats in my garden take around 8 or 9 weeks for flower. I use a couple of 400w HPS's, tho, and I don't usually chop the plants during flower.

Could be struggling for light, especially near the middle and lower sections.
Most of the trichomes are looking like they've already turned 'milky'. Once they start turning an amber, or rusty colored, they are near the finish line. Would give it as long as it takes to do so. (unless it starts taking a dive on you) Perhaps a few weeks, given it's only got a 250w HPS.

Do you have any sativa plants vegging right now? If so, how big are they, if you don't mind me asking?

    Thankyou for your comments rusty
I didnnt think it would be letting much light in because the room in which the closet is situated isnt very lit during "dark" hours
Also ive used like insulation strips along the door edges to close the gap better. i'd imagine most of the light leaking is from the intake fan.
BTW this is my first grow, i have an old thread somewhere logging the start of the grow (you WILL laugh)
This time has mostly been about practice and keeping the bugger alive.
I have been believing my 250 was more than enough for a single plant?
    D'OH!
    Thanks again.

I guess I'm spoiled with my 400's, but personally, I would flower a 4' plant with 1 - 250w, only with thoughts of some sort of side-lighting. Never used a 250, but how far does the effective light extend? Subtracting distance from the lamp, to the top of the plant, couldn't be more than 24" or so, would it?

But yes, looks like a sucessful grow to me. Especially considering having been pruned in half. Buds should continue to bulk up over the next couple of weeks, too.

If that's from the onset of 12/12 to harvest, that's actually not too bad. I had a Swazi Skunk strain that took forever to mature... I can't remember exactly how long, but it was easily over 10 weeks. There were only three females, and they shared a 600w HPS for flowering. I kinda regretted letting them get so tall, because the flowers never got very dense... primarily the flowers on the main stem.

If you've ever trained a dominant sativa before, how well did it respond in flowering? Did it help them mature any quicker when they got uniform lighting to all the bud sites? I still have a few Swazi seeds, but don't plan on touching them until I can better understand the needs of sativas.
