Tonight: Lunar Eclipse (Last one until 2010)
it was nice here in md, it was snowing all day before, and the last time i had seen the sun was when i made my post earlier. then out of the blue when i left work at 7 it started clearing up. then on my ride home at around 930 i realized it was rather dark for being a full moon out, and when i peaked up at the moon it was starting at that point. I raced home, and took 4 quick hits out of my bong, and just watched the eclipse happen, unfortunately i was not looking right when the peak happened, but i had been watching it for the past hour so i feel as though i didnt miss anything.

It was stunning in Southern Vermont. Not a cloud in the sky, no light pollution, just a big sky full of stars and a glowing orange moon.
Someone musta hit the dimmer switch or summin, because it ain't s'posed to look like that.
And it was colder than Jeanne Kirkpatrick in the sack.

had a great night with no clouds (-5C tho).
it didnt do a full eclipse, or i mayve looked away, since it seemed to go until the bottom 1/6th and then get big again.

It was amazing! It made me think about how small we all are and how huge the planets are in comparison. And how big God (if you believe in it) is compared to the planets. Wow.
It was freezing cold but we bundled up and watched almost the whole thing from beginning to end (except when we got cold and went to make tea and warm up for like 10 minutes)
I think our neighbors thought we were insane sitting outside in the cold and snow

I felt pretty disappointed. It just looked like a cloud with a strait edge covering the moon really.

Unless you live in the middle of the Pacific ocean you weren't going to see the satelite.
