There are many stories of people claiming to have the real OG Kush, but do not indeed actually have it. I guess we'll see.
I think the whole concept of withholding 'elite' genetics is fundamentally at counter-purposes to the cause of widespread access to quality MMJ.
OGKush is over 20 years old, and at this point, is so well distributed that charging more for an OGK cut than for say, a nice grapefruit cut, seems kind of silly to me. Especially considering the lack of commercial potential (read: disappointing yield). Oh shit, wash my mouf out wit' soap, did I just blaspheme? lol! I got mine for free and have given it out again for free, with the assumption that if I or any of my network have to ditch, it's a matter of a couple phone calls and a drive across county to re-build the genetics collection I and others have worked so hard to develop.
Right now, the 'chem' family are the coveted elites, and we are seeing the same high prices for those.
IMHO, if you feel secure enough, your best bet is to develop a small network of growers who, collectively, hold a few choice cuts to work with.
$15 isn't outrageous for a clone but it should come looking healthier than that.
