1st grow, violator kush and arjan's ultra haze #2......

hmm, now that i'm seeing them progress, I think i have it backwards. when i brought these seeds back, I took them out of their original packaging and forgot to label them. d'oh! I thought they would be easily identified by the time they were 10 days or so as one was indica and one sativa. I now think i have 3 haze and 1 kush. any thoughts?

o.k. now i can see that i definitely had it backwards. 1 v.k. and 3 ultra haze 2.

How did you germinate them? Or did you just plant them in the MG and let them sprout naturally? The ones that are 21 days look great, but the 2 week old ones seem way to small. Does the MG moisture control come preloaded with nutes? I don't see any obvious signs of burn anywhere. I would hope for 1 good female from each strain then take clones. I started 5 seeds at least 3 weeks ago, all 5 sprouted fine. Now though 3 of the 5 are significantly smaller and have signs of deficiency. But if I get 2 or even 1 strong female out of them I'll be happy.

i sprouted the older ones straight into a jiffy pot, and the other two using the old wet paper towel method. they had a good 1/2" tail on them before i put them into a jiffy pot. as for hoping for 2 females, these are feminized seeds, so i think i should do better than that.

perhaps when you transplanted them from the paper towel into the jiffy pot they suffered some shock that stunted their growth...

i don't know, they shot up quick, but the seed shell just wouldn't come off. my friend that brought back some feminized seeds with me had the same problem with his. they seem to be doing a little better now though. i'll post more pics in a few days.

week 4 (about 32 days). went out of town for a few days and left the watering to my roommate. minor setback, some were over watered, some were under. they seem to be doing better in the last few days i've been home though. i'm about to transpplant the 2 big ones and start flowering this weekend.

just switched over to flowering saturday night, and i swear overnight the violator developed female preflowers. the big ultra haze has 22 tops. the runts have caught up some with one having 12 tops the other working on 10. I'll post some pics tonight when the lights come on.

looking good! Did you take any clones, or are you going to? I would unless you have more seeds, keep that strain alive :rastasmoke: Or you could keep one as a mother plant...
