Ever since I moved into my apartment last summer, I have noticed a minor ladybug infestation at my residence. It's never gotten to the point of being an issue. But it's not uncommon for me to see a ladybug or two in my apartment every week.

I started my indoor grow two weeks ago and I'm just in the sprouting stage. What I have noticed is the lady bugs love my grow closet. And I commonly see a couple in my closet, either resting on the soil or on the walls. I never thought much of it until I read about the dreaded Mexican bean beetle.

Comparing pictures I've seen online, the lady bugs in my apartment look exactly like the Asian ladybug variety. Even though, I have noticed a couple of the ladybugs having 8 spots. 8 spots is a tall tale sign for the Mexican bean beetle. Is there a good way to tell the different between ladybugs and the mexican bean beetle? Are mexican bean beetles entering a home very uncommon?

I'm just looking for some peace of mind to my lucky or very unlucky problem. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
