Lungs Hurt

They hurt almost like the bottom half is swelling or like arnt working, I cant even yawn it hurts, any ideas?

Are you sick? Been toking more than usual? Coughing? How about a few more details. And have you considered seeing a doctor? I hear they've learned all kinds of stuff about sickness!

Havn't been sick lately, and its actually weird cause i stopped my smoke intake by a lot to like once a day and they started hurting little at first then today just bam! Ive had Pnemonia 3 times and it doesnt feel like that, id see a doctor but dont have insureance til march. Its hard to swallow kinda, breathe deep, and burp. Any info will be helpful.

i feel similar too this sometimes too
i feel like i cant get a full breath of air
and i get out of breath realy easy
it normaly doesnt last long tho

Do yours hurt when you try to breathe like actual pain? it's been 2 days how long does it usually last?

Oh yes forgot to say also that the top of my spin now hurts also and can feel if I take a sip in my neck?

mines usualy a couple of hours sometimes a day but it doesnt hurt when i breathe
just feels as though only half of my lungs are working
sorry i cant be of any help
but if its hurting when breathing i would see a docter

I don't know if any of you smoke cigarettes, but I still do, and on a day of particularly heavy smoking (especially if coupled with a few good bong hits), I sometimes get shortness of breath. I find it affects me more when I lay down in one position for too long. I've tried quitting umpteen billion times, and am finally getting close to stopping for good... and I can already feel the difference in my chest at night when I'm in bed. I'd get that same tightness in certain areas of my chest, and at times, thought it may actually give me a panic attack. You've got to take care of your lungs if you want them to take care of you.

Optimo's and any other methods of consuming cannabis that involve tobacco isn't going to do good things to your lungs. Perhaps to your mind, but not your lungs. I've grown attached to alternative methods of consumption, like edibles, capsules, etc., and I'm actually beginning to feel my lungs start to heal from all the years of abuse that I've given them. It feels good to be able to breathe right before you go to sleep, and when you wake up in the mornings. Every morning that I wake up feeling better, I'm getting more incentive to lay off tobacco and find healthier ways to take my "medicine". :jointsmile:

i couldnt smoke ciggaretes if i tryed i hate the taste
but i make spliffs with about half a fag in it
and recently ive bin smoking in the car with people who put a full fag in there spliffs
ive smoked a few spliffs through plastic tubes recently and it tastes much claner and smoother
plus you can roach the tube and the spliff and all the tar stick to the sides of the tube
do you think this is bettter for me than just smoking the spliff normaly?

Well, any time you pull smoke into your lungs, you're pulling certain levels of the tar, carbon monoxide, (nicotine, if you're using tobacco), etc., in there with it. Those tubes probably help a bit, especially if you can see some of the residual on the tube when you're finished. It is, after all, on the tube and not inside your lungs.

I can't preach about consumption by fire, because I'm guilty of it as well. But I try not to make tobacco an addition to the mix, since there's a whole other list of chemicals that you end up inhaling along with the cannabis smoke. Tobacco smoke irritates your lungs. Period. Some people are just bothered by it more than others. There aren't many ways around that. Perhaps a filter on every tobacco-laced spliff you smoke, but most smokers don't like using any kind of filters. It's up to you to make a health conscious decision, or you'll just have to deal with the harmful side-effects.
