first grow...need help

this is my first grow and just seeing what happens...shit I got somthing growing and its a female. She doesn't look as beautiful and other plants I have seen...maybe its my setup? What can I do at this stage to maybe help it out? its been growing since october. I burried it a couple times to keep it short. It wasnt started with any other plants but a couple weeks ago I started growing two more in the same pot and im guessing the bigger plant killed off the two. My lighting is one of those energy save light bulbs a 40w. the light is on a timer so the plant gets about 14 hours of light. I use a little bit of plant food. I clip the bigger leaves so the ones below can get the light...its got white hairs all over it has had them for awhile now and dont seem to bee getting anywhere just more hairs. help me out let me know how to better this grow at this point

I'd double up on your light. Your plant looks sweet, good work for a first grow,

Alight man I'll take that into consideration...Im gonna make a trip to walmart and pick up another shade and bulb...any suggestions on the bulb. The one I have now seems to be doing fine, maybe two more of those. Also I want to keep it short but Im affraid to bend it, I dont want to snap the thing. If I lowerd the light would that help? thanks for the suggestions it will help to get a brotha high when this thing is done

you might want to put an oscilating fan in there blowing on the plant, the wind helps the plant build a stronger structure.

this is what i did.

just get some socket splitters.
and you can get cfl's pretty close to the plant without worry.
getting them closer will make the plant denser.

today i got alot of things figured out...picked up 2 more cfl 2700k and one 6200k. switched the timer to 12/12. I also tied her down hopin she'll fill out. still need to get a fan in there but she looks pretty sterdy. One thing im worried about is with the 6200k bulb in that little room it seems to be puttin out some heat, like hot in there. hopfully this speeds things up a little bit. its already been 3 months and still no buds just white hairs and leaves. looks like a maple tree in a closet haha
