2 things to increase potency, feed back wanted.

So a grower at THC seeds syas to give extra hours of light during teh last two weeks of flowering to increase TCH production here:

Also there are numerous posts about giving your plants 48 hours of dark before harvesting to "slightly increase potency"

So I want to do the 14/10 regimen for this last 4-7 days of flowering and then give them 48 hrs of darkness before I CHOP my 3 babies down to hopefully give it some extra kick in the ass.

I am just wondering if anyone else has used these methods to "increase potency" and if it actually worked?

I think giving them more light towards the end would confuse the plants and make them grow longer. In nature, the days get shorter and shorter as they get closer to maturing, so I would think that adding more daylight would just take them longer to finish. You might get some more growth but you could also add more stress and add time to the growing process. I have heard giving them the 48 hours of dark before harvest increases resin production, but I'm still a newb so I have no clue as to whether or not it really works. Good luck! :thumbsup:

48 hours of dark cant hurt them,but 7 days of extended light can make your buds stretch an become air'y.

The one professional grower says it increases potency with 14 on 10 off the last two weeks because resin porduction is trying to protect the buds.

Also CAN ANYONE PLEASE GIVE ME MORE FEEDBACK about the 48 hrs darknees theory before harvesting..

I have definitely heard both of the theories, but never a definitive answer.

Someone said extended to 14/10 the last two weeks makes the buds "airry"

I like it on the rare occasion that I get soft fluffy buds. Someone who is about to finish should try this for us
