    soil hydro

    want to start a grow indoors.

    is there much difference between hydro and soil?

    would plants grown in soil look the the same as plants grown in hydro?

    Hydroponics and soil growing are two different means to the same end. There is no difference in the end product, yield, or anything else as long as each is grown well.

    I think the hydro guys would disagree :-)

    Hydro does grow faster I can tell you that much.. not concrete sure about the other benefits I've heard so I won't include them

    I prefer my buds to come from soil. I personally believe it has a better flavor. (and if I screw-up, or a fitting comes loose, it doesn't flood the house)

    I'd think a soil grow is cheaper and more forgiving of beginners, but have only tasted hydrobud...never tried growing that way.

    Regardless of which method you choose, you'll need the basics:
    • Quality genetics. (good bagseed is great to learn with)
    • Proper lights for veg and flower.
    • Proper ventilation.
    • Proper nutrients.
    • A ph pen.
    • Ability to keep a secret.
    • Willingness to read and learn.
    • Patience. Lots of patience.
