Herbs In All Their Glory (My search for Truth)

I'm very much interested in herbs and experimenting with them.
This is a list of herbs I would like to try
Kava Kava
Damiana
Lavender
Mugwort
Mulberry
Venrain

I will be doing some extensive research and I hope to experiment with these legal and fairly cheap herbs. If anyone has any information at all please let me know it would be very much appreciated. Information including; health risks, dosage, type in ingestion, legal status, price range.
Absolutely anything. I've become very interested in changing my thinking and trying to find the "truth" of our world. I beleive cannabis and other herbs are a way to start.
I am very interested in writing and reading poetry and all forms of music, if any herbs you know of can increase my understanding and respect for these arts, let me know.

By the way I will be documenting and recording my experiences, if anyone wants to know the experience I had with a particular herb I will be glad to provide them with everything I know

Well, of course Erowid is the best place to read up on drugs.

For more information about the plants, read these: Kava kava, Damiana, Lavender, Mugwort, Mulberry. But I can't find anything on "venrain". A Google search only gives me 2 pages with that word.

Aye, Venrain was'nt very informative, I beleive for good results I'll have to sample it myself. I checked out a few of those links, I'm quite tired but be assured tomorrow I'll read up all I can, thanks for being so informative Ermitonto, on both my threads. Thank you to Suburban, I'll definately go check that out, probably right now, anyway.

I like LSA found in Hawiian Baby Woodrose seeds, and in Morning Glory seeds. Those are pretty crazy and perfectly legal to the best of my knowlage. You might wan't to try mescalin though and read Doors of Perception, that books helped my out alot especially the last clause. let me see if I can find the book, I'm in a bookstore after all right now =D
