in january i got busted with 2grams of weed on me, and paraphernalia. and that is what im getting charged with. does anyone know what i am looking forward to as a punishment. first offense also. please hit me up with any advice

You know, I see posts like this all the time. I think maybe there should be a sticky. The reality is, the people on this forum can't really give you an accurate answer to your question because.....

1) Most of us don't live in your area. Drug laws very from country to country, state to state, and city to city. Even if, for some reason, we have knowledge about the laws in our area, that knowledge doesn't really apply to your situation.

2) We aren't attorneys. Really only an experienced, local attorney who speciallizes in drug cases can give you an accurate idea of what your up against. If you haven't already done so, hire an attorney. It'll be well worth the money.

Of course, I could be wrong...maybe there's a pot-smoking, drug-law attorney who happens to practice in Pittsburgh lurking on the forums. Hopefully they'll speak up if they're here .

Basically what you'll be looking at is a maximum fine of five hundred dollars, probably not even. If it was more than 2 grams, like say somewhere between fifteen and thirty grams, then you might be looking at thirty days in a county jail, tops. In Penn they usually just slap you with probation first offense, if that.

Personal possession of 2 grams is nothing man. Especially if it's your first offense.

No worries.

And no, that's not the law in my region. Weed is pretty much decriminalized where I live, so those amounts and sentences I stated are actual Penn law and legal precedent.

thanks for the advice. at this point any knowledge of wht im going up against is helping. also im moving to your city, that is what we need to do is decriminalise. canada is the shit
