I have some Linux knowledge/background, and the server that I'm in the process of finalizing both hardware and software wise is running the latest version of Debian on it, and so far I like it, a lot better than early versions of Fedora Core, but I heard FC8 was supposed to be far better than older versions.

Ubuntu is probably the most main stream distro. I've messed with it some and some of the Red Hat versions. I think the biggest issue with Linux is the installing of other programs and device drivers. Its nowhere near as easy as Micro$oft

I've had a very small amount of experience with Linux in the past but really want to go for it now.

I now have Ubuntu on my machine on a dual boot with Vista. I'm just going to use it to learn Linux rather than messing around adding stuff I don't need that has broke the OS in the past.
