quick question
i have searched alot but i cannot find what dwc stands for.
im just guessing but i think it is a bubbler system where the water splashes up to the roots then the roots eventually hit the water and soak up the o2 and nutes from there is that correct?
also in this system do you ever have to hand water, or do you ever have to pour water onto the top surface of the growing medium?
sorry for the newb question but i couldn't find the deffinition anywhere. you can delete this after but i think it will help out newbs like me alot thanksenquadrider16 Reviewed by enquadrider16 on . quick question i have searched alot but i cannot find what dwc stands for. im just guessing but i think it is a bubbler system where the water splashes up to the roots then the roots eventually hit the water and soak up the o2 and nutes from there is that correct? also in this system do you ever have to hand water, or do you ever have to pour water onto the top surface of the growing medium? sorry for the newb question but i couldn't find the deffinition anywhere. you can delete this after but i Rating: 5

quick question
IT is a bubbler system but the roots actually go into the water, where the bubbles give them all the oxygen they need.
Some growers have built a hybrid DWC/drip system so that not only is there bubbling, but there is also a top-watering system in place in the bucket.
DWC= Deep Water Culture.

quick question
awesome that answers alot. but im still confused on something, i hope u guys can help with this. but how does the water from inside the bucket get delivered to the halo, or the surface, with just an AIR pump?
i want to build one just like the DWC sticky (http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/...-dwc-grow.html). but i dont know how the water will get delivered to the top with an air pump and not a water pump thanks guys.

quick question
humidity builds up, and the action of the little bubbles bursting at the top from the air pump splashes and raises humidity, also theres such thing as air roots, and water roots... your water level should be about 1-2" below the bottom of the netpot
