Weedhound Reviewed by Weedhound on . Donkey Dick and VT local IBL Indoor/Outdoor 2008 Long time no log! Since the last one was something I've never done properly to completion before (a full hydro run using NFT), I figured that I should post this new learning experience. You can laugh all ya want. I'm NOT an outdoor grower but I was over at a good buddy's house a couple months back and he was like, "open your hand... Donkey Dick... Merry Christmas" and just dumped a big handful of these FAT beans in my open palm. I did some reading around and found the origin of the Rating: 5

It's made from expanded valcano rock and they are saying that it's pretty carcinogenic, that leaches into the plants, and also when you inhale the dust:wtf: Yeah lets all do a line of perlite:wtf:
They expect us to replace it with vermiculite.

    Dude. Vermiculite sux.
Leaches INTO the plants? Pish posh. I'll buy that for a dollar, and the Brooklyn Bridge too! I love government agencies soemtimes... But yeah, as an inhaled carcinogen I would be worried.
DE is legal in the States but not in Canada.
NaughtyDreds, your boogers are SUPPOSED to be green. Orange if you've been into the carrots again.

All Pics posted are from a source who lives in Hungary were the LAWS are less Stringent when it comes to Gardening... \"I CAN NOT GROW A CHIA PET\"

The survivors rode off into the sunset this weekend. They've found a good home in the hands of someone who can be trusted to look after one of the largest genetic archives I am aware of. It will be nice to be able to sleep soundly for a change. But I have to get going on a long-overdue renovation project and so far I've only found a tame electrician.. and my hovel needs a LOT more than just new wiring.
Shown is the last load being packed up. Damn, the place looks sad and empty. But every ending is a new beginning somewhere else... ; )

I know the feeling. When we moved I had to shut down and it was so lonely in the basement. Even our new grow room was felt empty and deserted 'till my sprouts came up, and it took a long time to get there.

Actually I stayed for the caramel recipe too --- pretty sure I am going to make this or something similar next week. Thanks for the recipe!

Stinky, eye candy is great and miss it already! Thanks for articulating so well, for us noob's. Have learned a lot and had a good laugh or two, as well! So, if I want a good seed, I need to hit my friend in NE up for some! Good to know-never thot of it! Glad all turned out well, you had me sitting on the side of my mouse for awhile!! Much appreciate all you teach!

Oh, I read in a book today by Ed Rosenthal that vermeculite has asbestos in it! Perhaps that is why you don't like it! (good nose for growing)!
